In older days animated movies were developed by artiest who created pictures of moving figures. In today’s World animation is based on latest technology of new age. The modern day animator just sits on the computer and does image manipulation to add motion and develops the animated pictures.
Earlier animation pictures like Cindella, Snow White…etc. was mainly watched by kids. Now such is the craze that few of grown-ups can be seen in picture halls enjoying the stuff like Nemo or Shrek.
When we glance the list of top ten animated movies, we gather that they all are new with older being made in 1992.
One of the greatest of animated picture was “Shrek 2” which was produced by Disney and was out in the year 2004. “Shrek 2” was out just three years after its earlier version “Shrek” came on the scene and went on to become the highest grosser of all times. It was declared the 9th most profitable movie to be ever made.
Then second best one is “Finding Nemo”. It was produced by Dream Works. The third best movie was “The Lion King” which came in 1994. Fourth place belong to “The Incredible” which was out in 2004. Fifth animated picture “Monster’s Inc.” (2001) was a best in its class.
The 8’th animated movie was another of good work of Dream Works “Madagascar” which came out in 2005. It was a big grosser at its time. 7’Th movie “Aladdin” was released in 1992 and was Dream Works movie.
The eight animated picture “Toy Story 2” was a Disney’s production in 1999. The ninth animated movie was one and only “Shrek” in 2001 which huge worldwide gross income of more than $ 484,408,220, which was about half of what “Shrek 2” earned.
The 10th animated movie which came out in the year 1999 was “Tarzan” and was a Disney movie.
We can see that Disney and Dream Works are one of the leaders in animation movie business and have been providing kids with great fun all these years around. The latest advancement in animation technology has contributed a lot to their efforts to provide quality fun to kids all around the Globe.
Many people have a view that sequels are just released to cash in on the popularity of earlier movie versions and have nothing solid to offer to the audience. However, the sequels like Toy Story or Shrek 2 have shown that good animation and story is key to success.
